  • n07 Error - Gateway not found

We just relocated the cable modem and Linksys wireless router in our house. This triggered some kind of glitch in our wireless network and, while Linksys was able to help us re-establish a wireless connection with our laptop, we have yet to be able to get our tivo back on-line (Series 2, Toshiba RS -TX20). We keep encountering the n07 error, which says the gateway is not found. We've re-entered the SSID and WEP numeric password. We've tried retrieving the IP info automatically and entered a static IP address along with all the other numbers requested. We have a MAC address listed, so I assume the netgear wireless card is working fine. One thing we do notice is the DNS numbers listed on TIVO do not match the DNS numbers provided by our cable company and used by us when entering the data as a static IP address. Everything was working perfectly before we moved the cable/wireless router (which is now located much closer to the TIVO box than it was before). Any ideas what we might do to resolve this?

    Thanks for your help!

Right - you likely use NAT, so your internal IPs should be different from the ones that the cable company gives you.

Does your laptop use DHCP? If so, have you tried just rebooting the TiVo and setting it to DHCP?
    Been here a long time . . .
