  • Hard drive is bad in dual unit. Which one??

I have a DSR704 that I upgraded several years ago. The original hard drive is in place and I added a second hard drive that I purchased through Weaknees.com.

Unfortunately, the screen keeps digitizing, freezing and occasionally rebooting. After reading your troubleshooting guide, it appears I have a bad hard drive. The question is, which one??

Can I just buy a replacement hard drive and replace one, see if it fixes the problem.. if not, swap it and replace the other?? Are there issues I need to be aware of when just replacing one of two drives?

I suspect it is more complexed than simply adding an additional drive was.

Any suggestions on how I should go here? Is this something I need to send my unit in for??

    Thanks

The drives are "married" so you can't easily swap out either one. Best bet is to get a "replace" kit, remove both drives, and install only the new one.
    Been here a long time . . .
