Tivo with FIOS?

Does anyone have knowledge/experience of using Tivo with DVR on FIOS by Verizon television? The DVR that is offered with FIOS saves only 80 standard hours. I'm interested in switching from satellite to FIOS, but with my current DirecTv with Tivo (with Weaknees upgrade!) I program and save more than three times that much!
