    Newbie Help!!!!

    just installed a new hard drive. it keeps going from powering up to just a few more minutes almost there. why? thanks

    Can't help without more information. What model TiVo? What did you order?

      sorry series 2 540080 replaced with a 500 gb western digital hard drive. had it formatted and i get the powering up screen but it keeps rebooting. tried unplugging but still the same. thanks

        installed old hard drive and it works fine. is hard drive not formatted correctly? what is the easy way to format, and whatever else has to be done. we tried the maxblaster but it only works with their harddrives. thanks

          Sure sounds like you have a drive that was programmed incorrectly.

            hard drive is fixed. thanks for all the help. now how do i transfer the shows i saved from my old harddrive back to my tivo. i saved them to my pc, but cant figure out the reverse route. also cant access anything in the pick programs to record menu. just gives me the drum sound. thanks

              Had you done that with TiVoToGo? If so, use TiVoGoBack to move them back.

                      Sounds like you moved a drive from one TiVo to another. You can't do it and access the recordings. You have to do a "clear and delete everything" to get rid of the Error, which will wipe your programming.
