  • Series 3 hard drive/cable card question.

    I'm having the usual hard drive problems with my Series3 HD, stuttering, reboots, sluggish controls etc. When I reset the whole thing when I first noticed the problem, the cable company; Time Warner couldn't pair the cable cards. It took a service call and about half an hour to get the thing working. Actually when I first got the thing it took that to set it up. So, if I replace the drive is there a way I can avoid another service call. What if I have WeaKnees replace it?

    We copy the settings, so the Host ID would convert over, but then so could corruption.

    Generally, if you just ask for "cold hit" that seems to get them to press the right button at the cable company.
