S1 to work in Canada?

Wonder if anyone knows how or offers a kit to hack a Series 1 for CDN postal codes?

According to Tivo the software won't support Canada, thought I read somewhere about a hack...

Stumbled onto a Series 1 with upgraded HD, cachecard, and lifetime subscription but can't get CDN program info - so far at least. My Series 2 works great (newer software), just wanted another Tivo.

Well, short of a hack (which I've never heard of) you could use it for set recordings by time and date, which is better than nothing. You can also use it, of course, to pause live TV.
