  • Pixelation of recordings

    all my recordings have pixelation at some point. i have direct tv. is it a signal problem or a hard drive problem. i don,t have the problem while watching live tv.

    If you replay the recordings and the pixelization is the same each time, that's either DTV or your on-board tuner. If they change each time, that's most likely your hard drive.

              well I did your test and the pixilation occurs at the very same spot every time on my recorded shows

                So then if you take the signal from your cable box and pipe it directly to your TV, do you seen any pixelization then?

                  live tv is fine , it is recorded shows I have the pixilation.
