  • Are dead Tivo Mini A93 models repairable?

I have two Tivo Mini A93's which are now in the boot-logo-boot-logo-boot cycle. Working A93's are almost impossible to find for purchase and they appear to be the only ones that work with Tivo Experience 3 DVR's like my Roamio Pro. (I have a Tivo Mini Vox which used to be downgradeable to Experience 3 but apparently isn't any longer, and I'm absolutely unwilling to "upgrade" the Roamio Pro to Experience 4 so I'm stuck.) I was wondering if there's any way to get A93's repaired when they're broken like this. Someone posted elsewhere that the problem is the flash memory which has the firmware in it, and that once it's corrupted it can't be replaced. Looking for some guidance before I dump the entire set of Tivo equipment I've got and finally give in to Xfinity and sign up for their DVR service. Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can provide.

I really don't think there's any way to repair that, sorry to say.

But I'm pretty sure you can still downgrade a Mini Vox to TE3 to work with it. Where did you hear differently?
    Been here a long time . . .
