  • Roamio Pro cable tuning problem after hard drive upgrade

Hi all, I have an old Roamio Pro, with cable card and high split converter, Spectrum cable, and has been working perfectly for the last 2 years or so, but the hard drive failed. It gave read and write failures in the SMART test. I replaced the hard drive with a new one from Weaknees that I bought about 2 years ago, but hadn't needed to use yet. Successfully went through guided setup, and most of my channels are back, but a handful are not. These are the same handful I used to have problems with all the time, before I got this high split converter, which seemed to solve all my old tuning adapter problems. With these problem channels, when I tune to the channel, I get a lowres "for your installer" screen that says I need to call my cable company and start service. Cable company confirms that everything appears to be working correctly from their end.
Now that I have a pretty new high split converter, I'm not inclined to blame it for this problem. Has my cable card coincidently died at this exact time? Would I be able to get most of my channels with a dead cable card? Or is it possible I need some kind of software update?

Problem was solved by a third call to the same number at Spectrum, got someone competent. They had the right card serial number and host id, but the data id was wrong at their end. Is this something that changes when the hard drive changes? Anyone know where data id comes from?
