Need some basic guidance. Have an old TIVO TCD2400A with some TV recordings of my daughter that I would like to access. The unit powers up with 1 steady green light on the left of the front center of the machine. The fan also operates. Right now there is no TV picture and the unit does not respond to the TIVO remote (with new batteries). Any guidance on what, if anything, I should try now? Or can anyone point out a post that would give me this info? Thank you.

We spoke with on the phone and even with these details, there really is nothing more we can add. There is a chance we can save your data, but we would not know unless/until we received the unit. No output is better than output where you are stuck on "Powering up..." but because you have no output, we cannot diagnose via email, phone or forum post, unfortunately. It's going to take work to repair the unit and then we have to hope that the drive isn't too far gone to prevent us from copying data to a replacement drive.
