  • New replacement drive stuck on reboot

Recently my TivoHD w/lifetime began to show signs of a failing hard drive. I purchased a Weaknees replacement drive (2TB) and installed it ~2 weeks ago.

Everything was back to normal (albeit with a lot more space!) until this morning when I discovered the machine rebooting. It gets to the "Welcome! Powering up . . ." screen and stays there for a few minutes, then flashes black or purple and reboots.

I've twice tried unplugging the power and coax and waiting before re-powering, but the results are the same.

I've opened it up and checked all my connections, any suggestions on next diagnostic steps?

    Thanks!

I think I also emailed you, but there's a (relatively small) chance that this is actually a power supply problem. It's worth checking before we starting shipping drives back and forth, because if it is the power supply, it's usually pretty easy to spot visually.

    See this page for info:
