both tuners mysterious end up on the same channel

I have Directv TIVO service using a Phillips DSR7000. We often wake up to find both tuners on the same channel. Why is that? and is it a bad omen?

Hmm. Maybe it's just do to some strange algorithm with TiVo Suggestions.
