  • Random reboots and hdb not found

I have a Tivo HD (TCD652160) and it's been doing random reboots. Initially, I did a SMART test on the drive and it seemed ok so I figured it might be the power supply. I got a new power supply but it's still happening. I did another SMART test last night and it passed. So I tried to do the "overnight automated test" and I got an error:

    Confirm /dev/hdb
    Cannot access /dev/hdb
Drive not present or not responding!

But there is no external drive so it shouldn't be trying to test /dev/hdb right? How can I run the overnight test?

Should I try to clear and delete everything?

    Thanks,
    Phil

Right - you don't have an HDB if you only have one drive.

This is most likely the drive, but given that test, and the new power supply, you might also try removing/replacing your CableCARDs.
    Been here a long time . . .
