Series 3 Question

I know that TivoToGo and Multiroom capabilities don't exist on Series 3, but I currently own a Series 2 DT that I am going to replace with a Series 3.
I just want to make sure I'm understanding everything so I don't waste time. Is there any way to get what has already recorded on my Series 2 over to my Series 3, or am I out of luck? I'm just looking for a one time move, so I can turn my old Tivo off.

No way to do that, sorry to say. But there are two options to consider:

1 - Keep the old DT unit in service long enough to watch what you've recorded, maybe on a different TV.

2 - Use TiVoToGo to move the data to a Mac or PC and watch it from there.

Been here a long time . . .
