Won't restart. Just keeps cycling from welcome to GSOD with a message that the TiVo is trying to fix the problem. How do I get it to stop the cycle and go to a start up?

External Storage Missing
Done. Now after unplugging the external drive, I'm getting the External Storage Warning. At least it's not cycling at this time.Originally posted by WK-Michael View PostTry unplugging anything except power and video output - so cable in, USB, network, and CableCARD.
And did I say Thank You for the response on a Sunday? Cause, Thank You for the quickest response I've ever seen.

If the unit is cycling with only the external plugged in, then you may not be able to salvage recordings...you likely have a bad drive. You can then use the clear button (with the external disconnected) to see if your unit will run with only the internal....but overall, the best plan may be to get one drive to replace both.

Probably what anyone doesn't want to hear......
But inevitable I'm afraid. Well here goes nothing.Originally posted by WK-Jeff View PostIf the unit is cycling with only the external plugged in, then you may not be able to salvage recordings...you likely have a bad drive. Update
It stayed stuck into the 2nd "press clear" cycle without the external drive. I have in, unplugged, plugged in the external drive, and gave her power. We're still in the GSOD mode that is cycling (same as previous.). Well, I guess it's the new hard drive if I want my TIVO.Originally posted by zypher2u View PostOh, did I mention I have an original Series 3? Don't know if that helps.
