If it's a TCD652160 or a TCD658000, then we can generally repair a rebooting motherboard. You'd start with this repair:

TiVo still reboots
At first it was fine, then a week goes by and it reboots. I thought well let's give it some time, and reach day, she starts rebooting more. Series 3 with a 500 GB W.D. originally purchased from TiVo. (to answer your inquiry), but the reboots plagues us again. Less frequently, my thinking is the capacitors on the mother board? One question though. Can I use my external harddrive with my upgrade? Just curious
