Just hooked it up last week I cant get it to see my tv.Haier 42" plasma. DTV only shows 2 codes for it,neither one works.Is there a search feature? Also,DTV installer failed tom leave me 2 extra lines to hookup old SD-DVR.I have the 5lng disk.Can I run the cable myself.Also,what are the usb ans sata ports used for?

You should get the DTV installer back out to run the lines properly.
The USB port does nothing, but the eSATA works with these drives:
