HR20 upgraded to 1080p output

Fri 11/14, received note of software upgrade from DirectTV for 1080p output. I went to the HDTV set up menu, TV Resolutions & selected 1080p as one of the output selections, the 780p & 1080i lights both lit up on DVR front face. After a evaluation process, the DVR stated that my TV (Panasonic TH-50PZ77U Plasma TV) Does not Support DirectTV's 1080p broadcast. Has any one had this experience?

It has to support 1080p/24, If you look in your manual theres a section called Input signal that can be displayed. Thats how it is on mine anyway. I have a TH-42PZ85U and it shows support for that but you have to use HDMI.

Its on page 49 of your manual, sorry to say it isn't supported.....
