I originally upgraded a regular receiver to this back in april of 06. The first one died in November of 06. This replacement now died last week. I am now waiting for a replacement (hopefully a newer model). That is 2 of Directv DVR that have died in 3½ years. I have had the old school Direct Tivo R10 since 05 and it has NEVER had a problem. Can't wait for Tivo unit to be available again since obviously Directv's hardware is junk.
