If I run OTA through the SWM will I need a diplexer for each single cable run off of a 1x4 multiswich? Will I need one for each end like in the legacy setups of days past?

Does the SWM diplex the two signals? If so I would just need one at the IRD end of the coax?

If you have a SWM multiswitch, then there is an input for off-air, yes. If you have a SWM ODU, then you have to diplex into the coax and then diplex out.
