  • Using SWM-1 as a power supply only

    Has anyone done this.
I want to use the SWM-1 port for the power supply only. So the power supply unit will be plugged into the SWM-1 port with no output to the IRD.
I will use the SWM-2 connected to a 4 way splitter to supply 4 DVR's with one wire each. From what I have read this should work. This keeps my power supply indoors and very close to the splitter and SWM-8

Then I have the 3 legacy connections for the other 3 direct connections to old receivers.

Yes, this will work. We'd recommend that you terminate the IRD port of the SWM power supply.

Thanks for the reply. What would you recommend to terminate the IRD end of the power supply? I should be able to use the terminator that is removed from the SWM-8 I think.

Yup - those terminators will work.
