Hi there,
I have a single LNB with one wire entering my house and no way to get another wire in. I would like to replace my dish with a slimline 5LNB and add a SWM8 (with power supply) so that I can receive the HD channels and use a DVR. The DVR would be the only receiver I would use in my house. Here are my questions:
1. Does the above sound like it will work? If so, do I run the 4 lines from the dish onto the SWM, then run a line from the SWM into my house, which would go into the power supply and then into the receiver?
2. If not, what else might I need to do?
3. If I have to stick with my single wire, or if I choose to forego the DVR, can I use a regular HD receiver (not a DVR) and still get the HD channels? I would much prefer having the DVR, but if I can't get it to work, I would certainly settle for getting at least the HD signal.
