  • Need to run 4-DVR'S 3-Rec's using SWM ??

I am wanting to revamp my my system to run four HD DVR's. I will also need to run three HD receivers. All units will run on a home run single wire system. I am now running a 5-LNB Slim Line system. What do I need to upgrade to using the SWM tech.
    Thanks

You need the two-SWM package (E2 and two SWMs), see:

    TiVo DIRECTV single-wire multiswitch

You will also need a couple of 1x2 splitters or a 1x4 splitter--either should be fine so long as your runs are <150ft from the SWM to the furthest receiver.

Wow Looks to be cheaper to install a second dish. Cost would be less than a $100.00.

Right - and it's a good option, but maybe more difficult since you need to install and aim the dish, and run two wires to each DVR.

I will use the SWM system with a one coax feed into a eight way SWM splitter to feed the four HD DVRS dset for SLM one wire.
I will run the second dish with the four coax feed to the other HD receiver using the regular settings.
This setup should save money on parts.
          Thanks

            Sounds like a good plan.
