smwm8 for 8 ft channelmaster

i have a 8 ft channlemaster dialed into 101 for directtv service. live out of usa. i have one rg6 feeding my house via multiswitch ( i share with neighbor). I only have one rg6 feeding my recvr. i would like to have 2 inputs lines to take advantage of dvr. would the swm8 work under this application? thx

I really don't know, but if you can provide a model number or link for the dish, we can dig a bit.
