  • SWM8 w/ OTA and amplifier

What's the best way to pipe in the OTA signal from an amplified antenna?

You would use the off-air input on the SWM8.

What I'm asking about is the OTA amplifier? Is it even still necessary? Does it have to go between the antenna and the OTA input on the SWM8, or can it stay where it is (diplexer at the TV)? I want to make sure that it won't damage the SWM8.

Yes, it should go between the antenna and the SWM input. You probably need it if you needed it before.

Thanks. I was hoping not to have to put the amplifier/power inserter in the attic, but it looks like there's no other way.

As far as I know, you can't use it after diplexers - and essentially, there's a diplexer in the SWM8.
