  • SWM8: Client needs 24 recievers. Possible???

    I installed a 5LNB system for 16 receivers a few weeks ago and everything is working fine. However, now my client tells me they want an additional 8 receivers (24 total).

    Can this be accomplished by replacing the 5LNB with a SWM8 and some how cascade the multi-switches to a 24 or 32 configuration?

    Has this been done by anyone, in spite of any technical discouragements from Directv?

    A SWM system can easily handle 24 tuners. Basically, you'd use the SWM E4 module and get 3- SWMs to plug into it. Each SWM can handle 8 tuners.

    Depending on your setup, you'd also need splitters and possibly amplification and a polarity locker. For all of this equipment, see:
