Need help for 7 room setup

My setup will (eventually) be 7 rooms: 4 HD DVRs and 3 SD DVRs, for a total of 14 tuners. I understand I'll need two SWM8 and one SWM E2 to support that number of tuners.

My question is how I wire from the two SWM8 to the 7 receivers. Each SWM 8 has a SWM1 and SWM2 port. Do I use three 1x2 splitters plus a single lead from the remaining SWM port? Or could I attach a 1x4 splitter to each of the SWM1 ports and cap both SWM2 ports? Does it matter/which is preferred?

Are the splitters fine to be installed outdoors? How about the power supply to the SWM E2?

As long as you don't draw more than 8 tuners-worth of signal from any one SWM, then either configuration is fine. So I'd recommend the simple path: put a 1x4 on SWM1 of each SWM, and just use those.

The E2 really needs to be indoors - the whole thing including the power supply is NOT weatherproof. We do have weatherproof splitters, but I don't know if that would help considering that the rest needs to be indoors.
