  • Swm Wiring Diagram

    I want to switch over to SWM. I have a media room with 4 runs, one for each wall for a DVR. I have a living room with one run for a DVR, then I have 4 other runs to regular receivers. What do I need to set this up? Can I use the SWM8 and two SWS-8 8-WAY SPLITTERs. A wiring diagram would be useful.

    How many receivers will you have in the media room? Are they DVRs?

      I did look at the diagrams, but could determine if I could hook-up more than 8 receivers. The receiver in the media room is a DVR. I also have 3 other DVR's active throughout the house. I have runs to other rooms that I would like to be able to use which would put me over the SWM8 maximum.

        For more than 8 tuners, you'll need two SWMs (or possibly more). We have a SWM E2 package which includes the two SWM modules, the E2 expander, the power supply, and the connector cables to power each module. That's here:
