  • How many SWM's do I need?

I'm getting ready to order some HW, and would like to verify that I am not going over the maximum allowed receivers. My installation has 1 HR22 DVR, 1 HR20 DVR, 2 R16 DVRs, a non-SWM compatible DVR, and a non-SWM compatible receiver. Can I make this work with a single SWM8 and either a 1x8 or two 1x4 splitters on the SWM outputs, and the non-SWM HW on the legacy ports? Or does this count as 11 outputs and a second SWM8 is required?

    Thanks!

It looks like you'll exactly max-out one SWM.

You've got eight SWM tuners (four HD DVR tuners and four SD DVR tuners).

You've got three legacy tuners (on receiver tuner and two DVR tuners).

So this should work perfectly. You'll need the splitters you listed, plus home runs from each legacy port.
    Been here a long time . . .
