Dish alignment w SWM LNB

I tried hooking up my dish in an RV. I have a 5-LNB SWM dish, power unit and receiver. I did NOT bring the swm splitter. When I set up the dish, I got a great (96%) signal... but only on the 110 dish. Nothing else came in. Did I need to use the splitter in order to successfully gain all the satellites? I've been successful in the past with a standard system, though only a 3-lnb.

The splitter has nothing to do with signal strength, alignment, etc. You DO need the power inserter, but not a splitter.
