Moving main DVR line

I moved my main DVR with the power box to another location in the same room. Direct TV tells me that I cannot do so and need a tech to fix the system. I ran new cable and hooked in to the SWM box in my attic. They tell me I need to reconnect to the original line. What am I missing - do I just change connections on the SWM. Should I pull the original line and connect to the new line. Help.

by power box ... i quess you mean power inserter.... you need to connect the power inserter to the power passing port on the splitter

Did it work? If not, do other units in the house still work?
