SWM-16 question

My current configuration is AT9 dish, SWM-8, 3 HR21's and MRV. I'm getting a couple HR24's and a SWM-16. In my current configuration I have a bandpass filter, for which I don't remember why. A couple questions:
1. Will I need the bandpass filter with the swim-16?
2. Will the DVR's be able to see each other across the two outputs of the swim-16?

1) I don't know what a "bandpass" filter is. If it's a bandSTOP filter, then I'd need to know where it's now connected to know whether need it going forward.

Sorry, it's a bandstop filter and it is between the swm 1 output and a 4-way splitter.

Assuming the SWM is green-label, don't use the bandstop anymore.
