  • viewing kernel logs, need mount command

I've been trying to create a new single-disk Tivo system (using an old image that I had used successfully before). I'm using an LBA48 MFStool (v 4.04) CD, and the creation (and copykern) seem to work ok. However, the new disk doesn't boot either of my Tivo HDR112 systems. I'd like to review the kernel logs, but cannot figure out to issue the "mount" command correctly when the disk is back in my pc. I've tried "mount /dev/hdc9 /mnt", but like most of my attempts, I just get the reprimand "mount: you must specify the filesystem type". (My new disk is connected as a secondary master in my pc, and I'm booted from the CD.)

Does anyone know the filesystem type of Tivo disks?
