  • make a restore on smaller hd

    i have a hr-10250 with the 250g hd wd
    i made a backup on my c: drive winxp . backup.bak have 277 meg

    i want to make a restore on a 120 g seagate

    with
    mfsrestore -s 127 -r 4 -zxpi /mnt/backup.bak /dev/hdc1

    not enough place to make a restore

    it possible to make a restore on a smaller hd

    Right - you can only restore to a drive at least as large as the initial drive that came with the unit. In this case, that's 250 GB.

      if i buy a new hd 250g from weakness


      my problem is i have a password parental , i cannot flush the file on the hd because it ask my a pasword

      i dont have a satellite , i use for the ota antenna side

      my question is with a new hd 250 ,it is flush the password and with
      version OS is on it now i have a 3.15

        Yes - the 250 will replace you with a fresh OS, and you won't have a password on there until/unless you set one.

          wich version of your OS
          i cant use the tel line because i live in canada , and dont have the dtv card

          it is cause a problem ????
