Series 2 TCD540080 Upgrade Problem

I just replaced the hard drive on my Tivo. Instructions were VERY easy to follow.
Before replacement I could not get past the startup screen.
After the upgrade I cannot get TO the startup screen and there is a faint clicking (with my ear next to the Tivo box) that occurs about 4 times a second.
Can anyone suggest my next steps to solve this problem?

Sounds like either a bad drive, or maybe a loose internal cable.

Is the drive from us?

Been here a long time . . .

I opened up the Tivo box and found a loose ribbon cable from the circuit board to the face of the unit. I'm sure that I caused the problem myself.

I reinserted the cable and startup worked.
