Replaced Tivo harddrive and nothing happening

Hi
I purchased a replacement hard drive b/c by all indications it appeared my hard drive on my Tivo series 2 had crashed. I installed the hard drive and attached all the proper cables from my tive to Vcr and TV.

Nothing is happening. I simply get a message that says "unusable signal". No lights on the Tivo are lit up or anything.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Any help would be appreciated

It sounds like the TV may be set to the wrong input. Can you cycle through the TV inputs?

i tried it and nothing.

I can hear the fan turning on the Tivo but the green light isn't on or anything.

Does that mean I didn't have a bad hard drive?
