  • Need new HDD? Mobo? Power Supply?

    I've owned my 240080 for about five years. I assumed that my original hard drive had failed after receiving the "powering up" screen of death. After installing the new upgraded drive I purchased from WK, the same "powering up" screen appears. When the Tivo is powered up, I can hear the drive spinning for about 30 seconds and then nothing. I've tried different jumper settings, IDE cables and nothing changes.

    Could this be a bad drive from WK? How will I be able to tell if it's a hardware problem?

    You should email us. I am looking at what I believe is your order (guessing based on your forum name) and it sure looks like you ordered the wrong hard drive. Maybe check your receipt? Did you order for a TCD540040? If so, that won't work in your unit.

      Just PM'd you my receipt. The HD I received isn't exactly what I ordered, maybe there is a mix up.
